Benton started his ministry in Canadian Missions at the University of Toronto as a missionary to athletes. After he and his wife Rebekah (who was a youth pastor at the time) were married, the couple was called into ministry together to British Columbia to plant a church. After years of living in beautiful BC, God called them back home to Ontario and Benton to youth and Young Adults ministry in Guelph, Ontario.
Loving a season of ministry in Guelph, God specifically called them to transition into leadership and in March 2022, Benton became Lead Pastor at LifeHouse. Along with leading the church, their passion is to create environments that engage unchurched people.
Benton enjoys investing time in helping leaders think more innovatively and strategically to reach people in the most unreached areas. Located in the centre of the city, we are strategically situated to touch our city for Christ.
LifeHouse has been serving the city of St. Thomas since September of 1927, founded as St. Thomas Pentecostal Assembly, renamed LifeHouse in 2019.
Benton and Rebekah have two children, Zion and Abigail.
